pdf → markdown
Extract readable PDF content into usable Markdown without sending the file to a conversion service.
the short answer
Yes. Upload a PDF and anydoctomd reads its text layer in the browser, groups text by page, cleans the Markdown, and adds lightweight source metadata. If the PDF has no readable text layer, the converter can use browser-based OCR for scanned pages.

questions
If no text layer is available, anydoctomd can rasterize pages and run OCR in the browser. It works best with clear, high-resolution scans and may take longer than normal PDF extraction.
Readable content is organized into page sections, which keeps page boundaries visible in the Markdown even though the original visual layout is not reproduced.
Normal PDF conversion runs locally in the browser. Scanned-PDF OCR also runs on-device, although the OCR and PDF worker assets may be fetched when first needed.
