  • Convert scanned notes into editable Markdown

know the limits

Review the output before you rely on it.

  • !OCR accuracy depends on resolution, contrast, language, lighting, and layout; always review important output.
  • !The current image OCR language is English.
  • !OCR libraries and language data may be downloaded the first time they are needed, even though the image itself is processed in the browser.

questions

Answers before you convert.

Which image types are supported?+

PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, and BMP images can be sent to the Image OCR mode.

Is image OCR private?+

The image is processed in the browser and is not uploaded to anydoctomd's server. First-use OCR assets may still require a network request.

Can OCR preserve the original layout?+

OCR extracts readable text, but it does not recreate the exact visual layout of the image. Use the editor to correct ordering or spacing when needed.
